Title Customer Service and Quoting Specialist

Description

The Customer Service and Quoting Specialist is responsible for handling inquiries, quotation development, and order submittal to meet customer expectations. It is critical that this professional is comfortable interacting with customers and other team members, follow through on work plans to meet daily short-term objectives, and have the ability to resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning. This role is a direct report to the Customer Service Manager.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead quote fulfillment.
  • Document all opportunities, quote activity, and customer interactions in CRM system.
  • Ownership of all quote documents with regard to accuracy, clarity, quality, and timeliness, terms & conditions.  Responsibility starts from the time the quote is received until it is submitted to the customer. Meet customer expectations on incoming request for quotations, including quote bid due dates and special requirements.
  • Executes task assigned from Sales to support Customers’ daily expectations, i.e.: Rush lead-times, updating part numbers, Filter test, Customer Service, freight estimates. 
  • As needed, CSQS represents Sales teams supported in daily meetings to prioritize orders, quotes, & other activities.
  • Coordinate with Scheduling, Logistics, Engineering, and Sourcing teams with regard to short cycle quote demands.
  • Full Contract Review on flow & large orders.
  • Updates Customer on late shipments, carriers not picking up, anything that affects the original order delivery date.
  • Submits order into CRM system accurately & works closely with business teams to ensure customer needs are met in handed over information.
  • Submits Change orders to Order Management & notifies appropriate Production lines & Shipping department.
  • Updates customer records in CRM system for account changes, equipment status, and installed base details.
  • Adhere to pricing and delivery guidelines.
  • Provide superior customer service and timely response to customer inquiries.
  • Prospecting as required.
  • Complete internal required trainings by due date.
  • Continuous Improvement & Customer Focus Mind-set.
Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college OR a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years’ experience in a quote fulfillment or commercial support role.
  • Proficiency in written and verbal communication.
  • Strong need to multi-task and continually weigh priorities.
