Description
Job Summary:
Responsible for managing sales efforts in our Western United States territory.
Essential Responsibilities:
In addition, in this role you will:
Management of manufacturer representatives, OEM’s, and distributors. Establishes, sales goals and quotas, maintains periodic forecasting and tracking, and manages distribution channel to meet company objectives.
Establishes ideal representative profiles to include primary market channels & product focus, territory growth / succession plans, and the needs and expectations of the distribution channel
Provides technical / application support to achieve competitive product solutions and techniques. Develops and implements training programs as necessary to maintain distribution’s product / market awareness.
Participate in marketing research and segmentation analysis to establish served market size, competitive products and programs, market positioning, and strategic direction to meet growth goals.
Maintain accurate and complete regional records to provide timely information to the organization.
Achieve or exceed monthly, quarterly and annual sales and margin objectives.
Travel as necessary to assist with application/trouble shooting, sales and account development.
Requirements
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor degree in Technical discipline
Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical sales or product business marketing
Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales management
Ability to travel 50% within the region.
Desired Qualifications
Bachelor degree in electrical or mechanical engineering
Experience with manufacturer’s representative
Experience in filtration sales
Ability to define and solve complex problems
Solid understanding of SFDC
Project management and presentation skills
Good time management and ability to be self-directed.

Ability to bridge between business/technical topics and communicate effectively with multiple levels within a customer organization
Proactive work style & creativity
Ability to multi-task and work under pressure-starter with high energy level is critical to success in this position
Strong sales acumen with clear/strong verbal and written communication
Strong interpersonal skills with emphasis on relationships
Effective team member and contributor
Technical competency with metering, wireless and wired communications
High proficiency in using applicable software and sales empowerment tools
