Position Summary:

The Senior Product Manager will manage a line of business/product line. Specifically, the Senior Product Manager assess the market, create a strategy, oversee the development and operations of the product line, and communicate with customers. The Senior Product Manager listens to the customers and the market and makes adjustments to her or his product to align with the needs of the market.

The Senior Product Manager is responsible for preparing three annual deliverables (with quarterly updates):

  • Market Assessment
  • Strategic Plan
  • Customer Journey (Product/Solution) Roadmap

Responsibilities:

  • Requesting product changes or enhancements from development teams (curriculum and software) by making tickets, reviewing the current set of priorities, and working with the Business Analysts to get things done
  • Aligning objectives, vision, strategy, and operational initiatives
  • Pricing (baseline pricing strategy and special pricing circumstances)
  • Prioritizing markets
  • Quantifying revenue potential
  • Informing sales of opportunities and threats
  • Supporting sales
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • 7 - 10 years successful experience as an educator and/or administrator
  • Experience designing, developing, and promoting educational courseware solutions is highly desired
  • Ability to build relationships with significant educational decision-makers
  • Deep understanding of educational issues, customer needs, and funding sources
  • Bachelor’s degree required (Marketing, Finance, or Product Management desired),  Master’s or above preferred
  • Superior communication skills including presentation skills and communicating via various technologies (email, webinar, text, phone, conference calling)
  • Excellent planning, organizational and prioritization skills
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task
  • Motivated team player
  • Competence in MS Office programs, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook
  • Proficient in Saleforce.com or similar CRM system
  • Must be able to travel 10-20% of the time as needed during peak seasons to support product-related activities in the field and must have valid driver’s license
