Automotive News, a growing and dynamic business publication owned by Crain Communications Inc., is seeking a Digital Marketing Coordinator to play an important role on a multi-functional team supporting various marketing initiatives and advertising campaigns.

As a Digital Marketing Coordinator, you'll have a wide range of exposure to various facets of our digital marketing programs, and get hands-on experience building and executing a marketing campaign from start to finish. You'll also play a substantial role in our online advertising business, supporting our sales reps and operations team with campaign metrics and analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Build, send and track promotional emails to support a number of different marketing initiatives (subscriptions, events, webinars, editorial content, etc.)
  • Work with marketing team to develop basic landing pages and event websites using HTML and CSS
  • Manage all advertising campaign reporting for our clients; regularly update year-to-date reporting and prepare all client-facing reports
  • In coordination with digital advertising team, work with sales reps to understand advertising campaign performance and make recommendations to clients
  • Maintain digital advertising specs
  • Manage and maintain internal and external marketing lists
  • Other related assignments as needed
Requirements

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, advertising or related field
  • Minimum of 1 year of digital marketing experience
  • Working knowledge of basic HTML and CSS
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word
  • A strong eye for detail

Preferences

  • Previous experience developing basic responsive emails and working directly with HTML email code is highly preferred
  • Basic understanding of digital advertising campaigns and digital advertising metrics
  • Basic proficiency with Photoshop
  • An understanding of customer databases and how to glean them for communications and insights
  • An understanding of email compliance standards and best practices
  • Previous work with a B2B publisher or content marketer is a plus
