Description

We are seeking a Knowledge Center Intern to work in our corporate library. We need someone who can work between 15-25 hours per week during standard business hours (9am-5pm, Monday through Friday).

Responsibilities include:

  • Checking in, processing & filing weekly print publications for internal physical archives
  • Distributing department mail & occasionally process outgoing packages
  • Assist with general inventorying, cataloging & filing of books, documents, photographs & artifacts
  • Filing and shelving returned items
  • Scanning documents & images
  • Photoshop cleanup of documents & images
  • Assist with processing bindery orders
  • Assist with special projects as needed
  • Answer phones
  • Occasionally assist with training sessions and presentations
Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must have experience using Microsoft Office products, familiarity with SharePoint is a plus
  • General knowledge of Photoshop or Photoshop Elements
  • General knowledge of Adobe Acrobat
  • Ability to: alphabetize, sort by chronological order, sort by numerical order including numbers with decimals
  • Ability to systematically arrange into groups or categories according to established criteria
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and also as part of a team
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with our team members and customers
  • Excellent critical thinking & time management skills
  • Ability to learn quickly
  • Strong communication skills; written, oral, & auditory
  • Committed to providing outstanding customer service
  • Understanding of and commitment to professional business ethics
  • Be able to lift & shelve books and boxes up to 25 pounds
  • Be able to ascend/descend a step ladder
