Eliot Community Human Services is a broad spectrum human services agency that values education and thrives on providing students with high quality educational experiences across diverse populations and programs. Eliot has a variety of learning opportunities with many talented and experienced supervisors who are excited to share their knowledge and insights. Most programs will only consider full year placements. Single semester placement opportunities are very limited. Many programs prefer 2nd year students, though there are numerous opportunities for 1st year students as well. The following programs are currently accepting applications for the 2014-2015 academic year.

 Children’s Behavioral Health Initiative

CSA Intensive Care Coordination (Malden)

In Home Therapy (Malden)

DCF contracted Residential Programs

Latency age STARR (Lynn, Dedham)

Adolescent STARR (multiple locations)

Adolescent Residential (Arlington)

DYS Contracted Residential Treatment (New Bedford, Plymouth)

Early Intervention

Outpatient Clinics (Concord, Everett, Lynn)

Emergency Services, Adult Day Treatment, Crisis Stabilization (Lynn)

CBFS (Danvers, Gloucester, Saugus)

PACT (Malden, Danvers)

DMH Contracted Clubhouses (Lowell, Salem)

DD/BI Day Program (Arlington)

DD/BI Residential (multiple metro area locations)

Requirements Internship Requirements

The primary requirement is that students must be able to demonstrate in interest in the population of the program they wish to be placed in. Students must also be able to pass a background check, provide a resume, and 2 references. Students will also need to have a formal interview with the program. Lastly, students must take part in Eliot’s New Staff Orientation which ranges from 3-7 days depending on the division the internship is in.
