Speech Language Pathologist

 

Early Intervention Services

 

The Eliot Community Human Services Early Intervention Program is seeking a Speech Therapist on an a full time basis.  Bilingual preferred. This Malden based program is located in a diverse community and provides supports to families of children ages 0-3 who have developmental delays or disabilities

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

Identifies, screens, and evaluates performance of children in the areas of interpersonal communication, speech production, receptive and expressive language, cognitive bases of language acquisition and augumentative communication modes.
 
Plans and implements remediation programs for children with communication disorders.
 
Provides transdisciplinary services to families and children enrolled in the Early Intervention Program.
 
Develops and ensures follow up to treatment goals in the Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP) in the home. Plans are developed in accordance with the requirements of the funding source, sound clinical practice, and in collaboration with the family. 
 
Utilizes a team approach to treatment planning and service delivery with other staff members, family members, physicians, and agencies.
 
Provides assessment/reports, IFSP’s, progress notes, and insurance verification reports within established timelines.
 
Provides in-service training to other team members within areas of expertise. 

 

Schedule: Full time

 

Pay rate: $42,500 annual salary

Requirements

Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Certificate of Clinical Competence or Clinical Fellowship Year Candidate. Membership in the American Speech Language and Hearing Association (ASHA). Massachusetts State License. Meets third party and Department of Public Health Early Intervention Program criteria. Familiarity with total communication, feeding assessment, and treatment. At least one year experience in a related field. Must have good clinical documentation skills and be able to meet deadlines.
