Eliot's MSPCC center provides Heatlhy Famly Home Visitor Services. The primary responsibility is to provide strength based intensive home visiting services to first time young parents who are pregnant or parenting their first child under one year of age and engage families in long-term services.


  • Provide home visiting services to a caseload on no more than 20 families.
  • Screen all assigned participants to confirm eligibility and offer services or resources according to HFM
  • standards.
  • Identify and offer primary services to participant partners who qualify for services or co-parenting
  • services to those who decline or are ineligible according to HFM standards
  • Engage assigned participants in services using a variety of outreach and engagement strategies for a
  • minimum of three months.
  • Engage families in completing the Family Profile and subsequent ongoing assessments of participant
  • and child according to HFM guidelines and intervals.
  • Offer referrals and follow up with participants whom self-identify or whose screens indicate a potential
  • need for additional support. Document according to HFM guidelines.
  • Develop Family Goal Plans (FGP) that are participant driven, SMART and reflect HFM goals and
  • standards
  • Role model for appropriate parent/child interaction.



Pay rate: $14.03-$15.38 Approved bilingual add 6%


High school diploma or Bachelor’s degree in a related field and three years
experience working with children including experience working with families from various
socioeconomic backgrounds. Shares the language, culture and preferably life experience of the
population being served. Good listening skills. Ability to foster self-sufficiency and identify
family strengths in a non-judgmental manner. Ability to work collaboratively with both
professional and non-professionals and have the capacity to work effectively with the service
provider community. Demonstrated sensitivity to the needs of families from diverse cultural and
linguistic backgrounds. Computer literacy and skill in the use of computers and related software
applications. Ability to consistently meet all necessary background and credentialing
requirements. Must have valid drivers license and reliable transportation to and from work and
for providing services in the community. Must have reliable telephone notification system for
emergency contact. Bilingual Spanish required.
