*Qualified candidates must be able to work a flexible schedule with likely days/hours as follows:

Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday - 8:30 am - 5:00 pm

Position Summary:

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist will be responsible for performing all nuclear medicine procedures as outlined in the manual.

Maintains and documents all records as required by NRC and DEP.

Prepares radioactive kits and materials for daily patient administration.

Maintains quality control procedures on all equipment.

Operates each gamma camera and ancillary equipment thoroughly and with competence.

Assists physician in performing procedures and computer enhancing of images.

Utilizes aseptic techniques and demonstrates ability to perform intravenous injections.

Selects proper techniques in imaging on an individual patient basis.

Maintains records of examination data and other pertinent information on patients.

Consults with patients to obtain a complete clinical history. Gathers pertinent clinical data.

Monitors and records all radioactive materials received in the department for leakage or damage.

Complies with hospital policies and procedures.


Requirements:

Graduate of an AMA Approved Program in Nuclear Medicine Technology.

Training and experience in Radiation Safety and Protection. Clinical experience in general Nuclear Medicine including SPECT/CT, Nuclear Cardiology, and PET/CT instrumentation, invivo and in vitro procedures and computer programming.

Currently Registered AART in Nuclear Medicine or Certified by the NMTCB.

Currently, Registered by the State of New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, Bureau of Environmental Radiation.

Requirements Graduate of an AMA-Approved Program in Nuclear Medicine Technology.

Registered ARRT in Nuclear Medicine or Certified by the NMTCB.

Currently, Registered by the State of NJ Department of Environmental Protection Bureau of Environmental Radiation.

Training and experience in radiation safety and protection.

Familiarity and clinical experience with Nuclear Medicine instrumentation, in-vivo and in-vitro procedures and computer programming. Clinical experience in General Nuclear Medicine including SPECT/CT, Nuclear Cardiology, and PET/CT instrumentation, invivo and in vitro procedures and computer programming.

** Must be able to work Varied Days and Hours with On-Call Shift / EOW & Rotating Holidays.
