Description Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP is seeking a skilled Graphic Designer to perform complex graphic design to include producing print and other publishing projects for firmwide marketing and business development purposes. This position develops and executes visual design strategies—including layout, illustration and production— for internal and external communication materials. In addition to other specific job responsibility, a successful candidate will participate in the planning, development and production of graphic materials; provide expertise and creative support to a variety of internal and external marketing materials, including print and digital brochures, newsletters, meeting and event materials, advertisements, web/social media graphics and other projects as needed; collaborate with Marketing & Business Development team members and recommend effective solutions to achieve marketing objectives within Hunton Andrews Kurth brand guidelines; recommend fresh ideas for new print and digital marketing materials; implement layouts and design in unique and emerging media; evaluate available and emergent technologies in computer, presentation, and business graphics as well as related software and hardware, and recommend hardware and software purchases; and coordinate with commercial printers and other vendors.

Requirements Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in graphic design, marketing or communications preferred. Minimum of 2 years related work experience in graphic design. Preferably in a law firm, professional services, or other client relationship-based organization. Strong portfolio required. Knowledge of web design, illustration, and print production.

Other Minimum Qualifications: Excellent communication skills (oral, written and listening) and ability to collaborate effectively with diverse group of professionals. Availability and willingness to work hours as needed to meet critical deadlines. Proficiency with Adobe Suite (CC), Microsoft Office Suite applications, and continuous self-actualization on technology. Strong working knowledge of MAC and PC computer systems. Strong commitment to client service excellence and teamwork. Must possess the highest standards of ethical conduct and professionalism. Must act as catalyst for change, drive and own results. Creative and innovative. Sound judgment and flexibility. Frequent travel may be required. Ability to work well under pressure, patience, diplomacy, high stress tolerance, excellent interpersonal communication skills, ability to prioritize workload and adapt to changing conditions. Visual acuity needed to process and read extensive written communications. Ability to receive and convey detailed information through oral communication. Essential competency processes include language ability, reasoning and memory. To perform this job successfully, the incumbent must possess the abilities or aptitudes to proficiently perform each of the responsibilities and accountabilities described above, with or without reasonable accommodation.
