Description Hunton & Williams LLP, a global law firm, is actively recruiting a Global Policy Privacy Analyst to support the Vice President & Senior Policy Counselor and President of its Centre for Information Policy Leadership in preparing and editing written materials including project white papers, workshop and meeting reports, blogs, articles, executive summaries, public consultations, PowerPoint documents, talking points and other materials as well as monitoring global privacy developments. Additionally, this position assists CIPL leadership in developing and generating new projects and ideas that further CIPL’s mission of policy impact.
Requirements Qualified applicants will possess a minimum of two years’ experience with international data privacy issues (e.g., EU General Data Protection Regulation, International Cross Border & US State Data Privacy Laws, Data Driven Innovation and Big Data, Accountability-Based Information Management and Privacy Governance, Privacy Risk Management Transparency and User Control and Role of the Data Protection Officer (DPO) and knowledge of relevant laws and pending legislation globally. Must have advanced degree in law, technology or public policy. Experience working with European regulatory authorities, European Data Protection Supervisor (EDPS) and/or European Commission preferred.

Other Minimum Qualifications: Availability and willingness to work hours as needed to meet critical deadlines. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications. Strong commitment to client service excellence and teamwork. Must possess the highest standards of ethical conduct and professionalism. Must act as catalyst for change, drive and own results. Creative and innovative. Excellent communication skills (oral, written and listening) and ability to collaborate effectively with diverse group of professionals. Sound judgment and flexibility. Ability to work well under pressure, patience, diplomacy, high stress tolerance, excellent interpersonal communication skills, ability to prioritize workload and adapt to changing conditions. Willingness to work across time zones and across cultures. Visual acuity needed to process and read extensive written communications. Ability to receive and convey detailed information through oral communication. Essential competency processes include language ability, reasoning and memory. To perform this job successfully, the incumbent must possess the abilities or aptitudes to proficiently perform each of the responsibilities and accountabilities described above, with or without reasonable accommodation.
