Job Description

The office of PCAOB Board Member Rebekah Goshorn Jurata has a full-time internship position available in its Washington, DC headquarters office. This key role provides support to Board Member Jurata and her professional staff by analyzing developments in the auditing profession and conducting research, including legal research.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research and prepare memoranda on various topics;
  • Stay informed of trends and current events related to auditing policy and accounting;
  • Maintain high standards of confidentiality with respect to all matters and documents;
  • Assist with research and development of speech topics;
  • Ensure a high level of accuracy in all details; and
  • Perform other duties and special projects as needed.
Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college;
  • Law student currently in their first or second year of an accredited law school;
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills;
  • Proficient with Microsoft software applications, legal research databases such as LexisNexis® or Westlaw®, as well as the internet;
  • Ability to organize and meet deadlines;
  • Willingness to work as a team member; and
  • Ability to be flexible, work independently and be self-motivated.
