Job Description Summary

The Facility Manager position resides in the Office of Administration (OA) and can sit in either the Washington, DC headquarters office, New York, NY regional office, Charlotte, NC regional office, or Chicago, IL regional office. The role will be responsible for both the strategic lease planning, administration and day-to-day facilities operation and maintenance of space occupied at the PCAOB corporate headquarters and regional site locations.  The Facility Manager will plan and collaborate with building management and staff at all PCAOB sites. This position will report to the Director of Facilities and work directly with all divisions and offices within the PCAOB.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a backup to the Director of Facilities.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Facilities on the strategic planning and administration of PCAOB leases. 
  • Facilitate PCAOB facility requirements with property managers and management firms at each PCAOB site.
  • Manage third party vendors supporting various operations at all PCAOB sites.  
  • Serve as the facilities subject matter expert on all PCAOB systems including, but not limited to mechanical, security, and utility systems at all locations.
  • Manage the design and build-out of new office space or renovated space including construction, furniture purchase/installation, installation of physical security, moves, etc.
  • Perform space management duties to include updating floor plans and executing moves as required.  
  • Develop and manage the annual facilities budget.
  • Prepare facility related purchase requisitions for goods and services for all PCAOB offices.  Work with Procurement and Office of General Counsel personnel on facility related contract execution.  
  • Approve vendor invoices and rent roll for payment.
  • Collaborate with the Office of Technology and administer facilities or facilities-related software related to the daily operation of each PCAOB site.  
  • Participate as an active resource in security, safety and emergency preparedness and the PCAOB's Business Continuity Plan.
  • Develop facility operations and maintenance briefings and processes as required.  
  • Develop and/or coordinate related facility training programs. 
  • Ensure federal, state, local and corporate policy and regulatory compliance at each PCAOB location.
Requirements

Qualifications

  • Education/Technical Expertise
    • Associates or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
    • Minimum of 7+ years of progressive facilities management for corporate headquarters and field locations.
    • Knowledge of and/or experience with managing/administering property leases.
    • Ability to read blueprints or construction drawings.
    • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and SharePoint.
    • Strong leadership, collaboration, presentation, and facilitation skills.
    • Must be flexible, dependable and able to work independently.
    • Ability to communicate and interface with diverse groups (both internal and external).
    • Strong resilience, ability to lead through ambiguity, and persistence to move ahead regardless of barriers.
    • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.  Strong written and verbal communication skills; and
    • Ability to lift 50 pounds
    • Ability to travel as required.  Availability to work non-standard hours and overtime as needed in a fast-paced environment.
