Description The University of Virginia Physicians Group (UPG) has an exciting new opportunity for a Director of Finance and Corporate Treasurer.

We are located in beautiful Charlottesville, VA within an hour of Richmond and two hours of Washington D.C. This vibrant university town offers live music, theater, museums and great restaurants. The Director of Finance and Corporate Treasurer is responsible for the financial operations of the organization, including administrative, clinical and capital budgeting, accounting, financial analysis, cashiering, payroll oversight, financial systems, and financial regulatory reporting and compliance. The incumbent performs controller functions of development and administration of policies on finance; as well as treasurer functions of debt and cash management, investments, and assisting with real estate transactions. The incumbent is responsible for the accounting practices of the organization, maintenance and audit of fiscal records, and preparation of accounting reports. This position works closely with executive leadership to evaluate and enhance fiscal performance and to establish and execute long-range financial goals, strategies, and plans to continually improve the financial operations of the organization, as well as assuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

Requirements Education:
 Bachelor’s Degree
 Masters Degree in Health Care or Business Administration, or equivalent experience preferred.
 CPA
Experience:
 5-10 years of work experience in a finance-related position with progressively increasing responsibility.
 Demonstrated knowledge of GAAP, auditing procedures, IRS regulations, and computerized accounting systems
 Significant supervisory experience.
 Expertise in management information systems, including exposure to a variety of software data analysis products.
 Knowledge of healthcare industry, physician group practice operations, or a large academic group practice a plus.
 Experience developing and managing an operations budget of significant size and scope.
Skills:
 Demonstrated strong financial analysis skills.
 Knowledge of and experience utilizing a personal computer.
 Advanced word processing, database, and spreadsheet skills required.
