daily use of approximately 110 million of its components and devices, which are designed to improve the delivery of healthcare to patients around the world. POSITION SUMMARY: Supports manufacturing through identification, design and implementation of process
improvement projects; Ensures compliance with environmental regulations; Supports production by ensuring that process, product measurement, and test equipment operates reliably and to Company and ISO 9000 standards ACCOUNTABILITIES: • Provides engineering
assistance to ensure plant, machinery, tooling and processes are at optimum. • Designes and procures equipment to improve safety, reliability and manufacturing efficiency. • Works with machinists and maintenance personnel’s daily workload to ensure projects
are completed in a safe and timely manner. • Oversees manufacture and start-up of new equipment. • Maintains machine, equipment and plant drawings. • Ensures that plant follows federal, state, and local environmental regulations. • Ensures that plant evaluation,
test, and measurement equipment is calibrated, certified, and operating per Company and ISO 9000 standards. • Assumes responsibility for various engineering projects as assigned. • Assumes responsibilitly for new equipment validation. • Prepares and submits
capital expenditure reports for projects – including costing and communicating with outside contractors. • Serves as a member of the plant safety team; assists with safety improvement suggestions. • Assumes responsibility for material purchasing as required.
• Promotes and supports a Lean environment within the facility. • Performs other duties as required and/or assigned. • Adhere to Company policies and follow training procedures at all times. • Use good housekeeping practices to maintain a clean, orderly and
safe work area. • Follow all safety rules and safety procedures. • Perform other duties as required or assigned. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Education: Bachelor's in BSME or BSIE preferred; recognized equivalent or equivalent engineering experience considered
• Experience: 1-3 years of experience PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Two years related experience in machine and equipment design • Knowledge of electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, machine tooling, and PLC programming • AutoCad, Microsoft Excel and Word skills
